Julio appears to be a cross between Capsicum frutescens and Capsicum chinense. It shows the fruit shape and flower of the former and the compact, low growing habit of the latter. Excellent grown in a pot or in the border.
Earlier and more productive than most Capsicum frutescens cultivars.
A very tasty chilli with a complex flavour and moderate heat. These are great chillies for using fresh in cooking, and they also dry well. Very suitable for making a fairly hot tasty chilli powder.
