Like many frutescens cultivars, the chillies rather late ripening when grow in the border soil, but given a sufficiently long growing season a good yield can be achieved. It is perhaps better grown in a pot which produces a much more compact plant and earlier ripening.
The chillies have an exceptionally good smoky flavour. They dry well and make a valuable adition to the chilli lovers store cupboard.
